Annual Exam
Annual exams allow us to assess the health of your pet prior to vaccinations or surgical procedures and can often detect problems in their early stages. Annual exams and farm visits are required to maintain a valid client patient relationship and for all prescription refills.
Surgery
We offer a variety of elective procedures such as spays, neuters, dewclaw removal, dehorning and benign skin growth removal on dogs, cats, potbellied pigs, farm animals and most pocket pets.
Other emergency and cosmetic care procedures include wound care, malignant tumors, intestinal disorders, amputations, eyelid disorders and urogenital disorders to name a few.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations, routine deworming, and flea, tick and heartworm prevention are important components of disease prevention and wellness care. We also recommend annual screening for common diseases such as Lyme disease.
Dental Services
Dental services are offered to evaluate bad breath, broken teeth, tarter, abnormal chewing or drooling, refusal to eat, and swelling around the face and mouth. These could all be signs of dental abnormalities.
Dental evaluation and care are part of your pet's annual physical exam and can prevent other health problems as well.
Equine Dentistry
Sunny Ridge Veterinary Services works with a certified equine dentist Kristin Chronister to inspect and correct your horse’s mouth for signs of irregularities, uneven wear, sharp points, wolf teeth or dental disease.
Annual equine dental care is crucial to ensure optimal nutrition, comfortable chewing and proper bit positioning while riding. Call the office to schedule a haul-in appointment or a farm call for dental care.
Large Animal Farm Calls
We are a mixed-animal practice offering mobile services to a wide variety of large animal patients. Herd checks, vaccinations, sick exams, reproductive services, ultrasound, digital radiology, and lameness work are some of the many services offered.
Acupuncture & Chiropractic Care
Julie Plese, DVM offers acupuncture and chiropractic services for both small and large animals. These services are beneficial for, but not limited to, maximizing performance, pain management, and regaining nerve function.
Dr. Julie is certified through the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association and Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians.
Pharmacy
We offer prescription medications through our in-house pharmacy, or for your convenience, offer prescriptions through our online pharmacy at My Vet Store link below.
Radiology
We offer in-house digital radiology for our small animal companions as well as portable radiology for our large animal patients. We have the ability to send our patient’s radiographs to a licensed radiologist if necessary.
Ultrasound
We offer portable small and large animal ultrasound areas, a diagnostic tool that aids in bladder stone detection, internal organ assessment, reproductive medicine and much more.
