Practice Owner
Dr. Amy graduated from The Ohio State University in 2013 and has owned Sunny Ridge since. She really enjoys practicing medicine on large animals, small animals and everything in-between. She loves surgery days and being presented with new challenges.
While we all love seeing Dr. Amy in the clinic on occasion, she currently is taking on her ever-important role of raising her six children. When she has spare time enjoys painting, gardening, and playing guitar.
Dr. Megan grew up locally in Beaver County, PA. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2020. She has been with us at Sunny Ridge since then. Her passion is working with horses, particularly lameness and equine reproduction. She enjoys seeing your cats and dogs in the clinic too! She recently got married and in her spare time she barrel races as much as possible and travels to as many places as she can.
Dr. Megan has a corgi mix named Milo and eight horses to keep her busy.
Dr. Julie graduated from Colorado State University in 2015. She worked for an animal hospital in Warren, PA before moving back home and starting with Sunny Ridge in 2020. She loves all equine medicine, especially lameness. She saves room to see your companion animals as well. Dr. Julie is certified through Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians & the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association to perform acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments on dogs & horses. She also enjoys doing surgical procedures. When she isn’t at work, she loves spending time with her husband and baby girl. She has a cattle dog named Oakley and two horses she enjoys
competing with in barrel racing.
Dr. Camille is originally from Louisiana but graduated in 2023 from University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She joined our practice as soon as she graduated. She has a particular interest in goats and cows, while also having a soft spot for cats & dogs, especially golden retrievers. She enjoys doing dental procedures in the clinic and gaining new experiences in veterinary medicine. She likes crocheting, hiking and roping when she has time. She lives with her husband in PA. She has two golden retrievers, named Beynon and Islay, three horses and an old goat named Smokey.
Medical Director
Dr. Katie grew up in Beaver County, PA. She graduated from Cornell University in 2016. She worked in Kittanning for 7 years before recently moving back to the area and beginning with us at Sunny Ridge in December 2023. Dr. Katie takes special interest in working with cows, especially dairy herds and small ruminants. She enjoys doing on-site medical procedures and herd work on livestock, as well as small animal surgery. She likes to take her dog, Skye, travelling with her on rock climbing adventures, snowboarding,
hiking and water sports.
Office Manager
Rachel has been with the practice since 2013. She started out multitasking as a veterinary assistant, groomer & receptionist and was promoted to office manager in 2021. Her favorite part of her job, aside from patients, is taking the time to make sure each pet owner feels as if they’re part of the Sunny Ridge family. Rachel says, “I truly care, and I hope that our clients walk away feeling that they and their pets deeply matter to us.”
Rachel is married and has two daughters, Madison and Jaylie. At Croft Family Farms, the whole family enjoys raising beef cattle. Rachel also has a wide variety of other pets - 4 dogs, 3 cats, 3 goats, 1 pig, plenty of chickens, an axolotl and fish. She is a Jr Fairboard assistant, and her daughters participate in 4H showing cattle, goats and hogs. Her favorite part of the year is her annual vacation in August where her family camps at the Columbiana County fair.
Lead RVT & Inventory Manager
Tiffany is our Lead Registered Veterinary Technician and Inventory Manager. She has been with the company for over 10 years; being hired after shadowing for technical school that she graduated from in 2013. She grew up caring for animals. She started working at the Hancock County Animal Shelter and helping a local equine trainer when she was in high school. She was a member of 4H and part of the equine program at Bethany College. She now enjoys taking her son to sports and getting him involved in 4H.
Veterinary Assistant
Becky has been working for Sunny Ridge since 2014. She is a 2007 graduate of Hocking College with an Animal Science degree in Equine Health and has been employed as an assistant in the veterinary field ever since. She takes special interest in equine reproduction, large animal care, and herding dogs. Becky enjoys gardening and taking her husband, two children and dog, Dottie, to the WV mountains for camping, hiking and swimming. On her small hobby farm her family raises the occasional feeder steer, pigs and chickens. For pets she has two dogs, three cats and a very old pony.
Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant
After shadowing our doctors for 2 years as a high school student, Madison has been employed with the practice for 6 years. She was raised on her family farm in Columbiana County where she grew up with a love for animals of all sizes. Madison participated in 4H, FFA, Jr. Fair board, and attended the Veterinary Science Program in high school. Madison is newly engaged and plans on getting married in June of 2025. Madison loves and adores her two German Shepherds, Bee and Delilah, and Gunner who is a Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd cross. Madison has interest in canine training and participates in obedience, therapy work, dock diving, barn hunt, and shed hunting in her free time with her beloved dogs.
Veterinary Assistant
Gabrielle has lived in Columbiana County her whole life. She has worked at Sunny Ridge since 2021. Gabrielle’s favorite part of her job is the relationships she has developed with both clients and patients. It doesn't take much time for a patient to steal her heart. She is very passionate about patient care and making your pets feel comfortable. In her free time, Gabrielle enjoys watching her son play sports, fishing, family cook outs and hikes on her property with her husband and their dogs. She has a Chocolate Lab named Church, and two Rottweilers named Ford and Angus. Gabrielle lives on a small farm that is a forever home to a hand full of animals that keep her busy all year long.
RVT
Emily attended Kent State University and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. While she has been in the veterinary field since 2017, she has been employed with Sunny Ridge since 2021. She is an avid animal and plant lover. Emily thrives in the surgery suite and enjoys working with feline patients. She enjoys expanding her experience and learning large animal skills. Cheddar and Pretzel are her two Golden Retrievers, and they love playing with her cats and chickens. Her hobbies include gardening, hiking with her dogs, and spending time with her friends.
Veterinary Assistant
Micaela graduated Veterinary Assistant school and joined the team at our sister clinic, Chester Veterinary Services, following her externship in 2017. Since being with us in 2021, she has continued to enjoy seeing appointments of all kinds. Originally graduating as a Pharmacy Technician, she has always been interested in medicine, but her love for helping animals brought her here instead.
While currently taking a hiatus from owning and showing performance horses, Micaela has been focused on doing dog sports with her Border Collie and Miniature American Shepherd. She is also our guinea pig enthusiast, having 5 of them herself!
Veterinary Assistant
Nancy has worked at Sunny Ridge since 2019. She is married to her husband, George, of 26 years. She has two daughters, Maggie and McKenzie. She and George are the proud grandparents of Zyair and Mattie. They reside in Chester along with three dogs, Lady, Daisy and AJ. Nancy has an entire career’s worth of equine experience. She is a dedicated part of our team; always being very thorough and giving superior care to our patients.
Receptionist
Addisyn has always had a special place in her heart for any animal, large or small. She enjoys taking her cat, Honey, on walks. Honey is a long-haired tabby and the definition of spunky. She enjoys playing and taking naps in the sun. Reading has always been a passion of Addisyn’s since she was young, and she still enjoys it to this day. Spending time with family and friends is very important to her and is something she looks forward to and never takes for granted. Sunny Ridge has shown Addisyn not only how important animal care is but also how easily animals can impact your life.
RVT & Receptionist
Stephanie is a Registered Veterinary Technician from East Liverpool. She graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2006 and obtained her license in 2011. With 16 years of previous experience, she been working at Sunny Ridge since 2023 and loves it because the mix of small and large animals makes work fun and interesting. Outside of work Stephanie spends most of her time with family and close friends. She and her boyfriend, Rob, have three kids, her two sons, Jabrien and Haven, and his son, Robbie. They enjoy doing anything and everything outdoors. They own three dogs, Riley, Sunny and Dahlia and six chickens
Veterinary Assistant & Receptionist
Brittany obtained an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2014 from Brown Mackie College and went straight to work in animal medicine. She joined our team in October of 2023. Brittany has three dogs, Gus Gus, Rudy, and Daisy, but also shares custody of three others - Chubs, Buck, and Brownie. She has a small herd of goats as well. She has two cats named Thackery and Baby Yoda, two rabbits named Carrots and Hershey, a bearded dragon named Lizzie, and a slider turtle named Petey. She loves working with German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and goats. Her hobbies include kayaking, spending time with her daughter, Sawyer, family time, traveling, gardening, and taking her dogs swimming and hiking.
